Helping artists build careers with purpose, not just chase moments.
Our Story
Workbasee started from a pattern we kept seeing: talented artists pouring everything into a release, chasing a viral moment, and having nothing to build on once the moment passed.
The gap was never talent. It was structure. No rollout plan, no audience strategy, no clear picture of what a release was supposed to achieve beyond streams in week one.
We exist to close that gap. Workbasee brings strategy, branding, content, and promotion together so every release compounds into something durable: a career, not a spike.
Our Approach
01
Every project starts with research and planning, not guesswork.
02
From branding to promotion to production, handled cohesively.
03
Decisions made for career longevity, not short-term spikes.
In Full
Workbasee is a music marketing and production team based in Lagos, Nigeria, working with artists, labels and brands across Nigeria and the wider African market. Most of our work is Afrobeats and its neighbours, and most of it reaches people through TikTok, which is where a Nigerian record either travels now or does not.
We are a strategy and production partner rather than a promo service. That means we plan the release, build the content, run the campaigns and handle the press, and we would rather do all of it for one artist properly than one piece of it for ten. When a rollout goes wrong it is almost never because one part failed. It is because five parts were bought separately from five people who never spoke to each other.
You deal directly with the people doing the work. There is no account manager relaying your notes to a team you never meet, which is the arrangement that quietly turns a two day change into a two week one. Most of the day to day happens on WhatsApp, because that is where artists actually are and because a voice note beats a scheduled call for almost everything.
Around the core team sits a vetted network of directors, stylists, editors, photographers and producers we bring in per project and match to your budget. That is deliberate. Keeping every one of those roles permanently on staff would mean charging every artist for all of them, whether their release needed a drone operator or not.
We tell clients when something is not working while there is still budget left to change it. That conversation is uncomfortable and it is the whole value of hiring someone: a campaign that is not landing in week two is information, not a failure, and the only wrong response to it is to spend the rest of the money on the same idea.
We do not sell views, followers, streams or bot engagement, and we turn down the requests we get for them weekly. The reason is practical rather than moral. Bought numbers do not convert into anything: a playlist editor checks the ratio between your saves and your plays, a promoter checks whether your ticket sales match your following, and inflated figures make your own data useless for planning the next release.
We also say no to work we do not think will succeed. If a record is not ready, or the budget cannot buy a result worth having, we would rather tell you that in the first conversation than take the booking and hand you a report full of numbers that meant nothing.
We have run over two thousand campaigns, driven more than 2.1 billion TikTok views, and hold platform issued creator awards from TikTok and CapCut, including recognition for placing in the top 0.1 percent of creators. Those awards are screenshots of badges the platforms issued to us, not graphics we designed, which is the entire point of showing them.
The individual campaign results, artist by artist and number by number, are on the work page. Records we have worked on have gone to number one on Spotify Viral 50 Nigeria, charted in the Shazam Top 30, and passed a million streams inside two weeks.
Campaigns are shaped by platform data and audience insight, so budget goes where it actually moves the needle.
A vetted bench of directors, stylists, editors, and producers we match to your project and budget.
Clear rates and service fees published up front, with no hidden markups on campaign spend.
You work directly with the people executing your rollout, not an account layer in between.
Content built for how each platform actually behaves, rather than one asset resized five ways.
Each release is planned as a step in a longer arc, not an isolated push.
